Mekong Strategic Capital advises on landmark acquisition in Cambodia
Mekong Strategic Capital is proud to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of Amret by Bank SinoPac from Taiwan.
This acquisition, which valued Amret at approximately US$550m, represents a pivotal moment for Cambodia's financial sector, reflecting the confidence and growing interest in the country’s dynamic and evolving market by leading international financial institutions. IFC (World Bank Group) and FMO (Dutch Development Bank) will remain as shareholders of Amret for a further two years to continue their support for the Cambodian finance sector.
